Monitors monitor data extension cord

I need to extend my monitor's data cable by 2 and half To 3 ft.
I have heard abt monitor data extension cord, but i m worried abt, any data loss or delay.
Kindly enlighten me, whether its ok to use it or not,
Also suggest, if there's some other viable way, to solve the prob.

I use one in my office and it works fine for me... Got 5feet extension cable for Rs 100...

Can u refer, any manufacturer or it's just local made, available in the market.

Well i bought in Nehru Place. Delhi. It just came in a sealed plastic wrapping i nver bothered about the manufacturer as i was fortunate enough to get it easily here...
