Monitors Monitor help needed... urgent for tomorrow..

my friend needs a good monitor to go with radeon 4770...
his budget is around 7-8k max...
is there any monitor with 1600x1050 resolution in that range....
or will he be forced to settle for 1440x900...
how is LG.... dunno if dell and benq is available in kerala..
but please suggest from them also..
please suggest either LG or samsung..
if dell or benq has anything better that also pleae suggest..
Stand is not an issue...
adjustabiliy can be minimum....

You have many options for 1440x900 resolution>>
Dell >> E1909W with DVI for 7.2k
Benq >> G900W with DVI for 6.5k
Samsung >> 943NWX for 7.5k

All 3 are good monitors>>>make your choice :)
 
20 inch Samsungs retail for around 9-10k i think....and yea, 4770 shud be able to play(or rather render) the game @ 1680x1050, but how well is the question.It shud handle the game fine @ 1280x1024 with Enthusiast.

PS:Where in Kerala are u btw?
 
^^ For that resolutions, u need to spend ard 11k.

Even 4870 will be on toes when playing at enthusiast settings at 1600x1050
 
try samsung s2233w. This you may get for 10K...

i think if your friend has old crt monitor, then he might exchaneg it and save 1k or bit more...

^^^^+1 the retail price of it in mumbai is 9950 in lammington
check it out in croma ,4770 can handle crysis @1920 x 1080 ,the monitor is paisa vasool if ur friends old monitor is working ask him to wait till he can affort it...or else in 7.2k samsung's little twin 20" brother is avalible but it it a 1440x900,dell is also a good option....by the way @what price & frm where did ur friend get the 4770???

@Red Bull- I am at trivandrum BTW... my friend is at thrissur..
His dealer is quoting ridiculous prices for components...
like 10k for a 9800gt and all..

he had asked for 1600x1050 monitor but the dealer gave him an 18 inch 1366x768... LG one...
he is goin to take the fight to him :( and wants a replacement monitor...
thats why...
