I’d like to give a feedback on the Signature rules followed on TE. Frankly, I don’t have any problem with the 40kb limit but I don’t like the 500 x 120 limit…

That’s almost like a +4:1 ratio which I think is awful… Ideally it should be a 2:1 ratio something like 400x200 or 500x250

I’d like to suggest to the moderators of TE to give us more autonomy in designing signatures...

Your signature width is currently less than half the allotted size.. so why dont you spread out your siggie in the horizontal domain instead of in the vertical?

The reason why the height is restricted is merely to avoid people having to scroll through so many tall siggies just to read posts.

Finally to top it off, the space between your username and your siggie is what counts more than your siggie :lol:

There is a flaw in the rule :| Members are able to upload more size Sigs when there is a rule of 40 KB .. Eg : Nevil later sig and Quaddy present :rofl:

I didnt knew my siggy was over the default size.

will do some more compression and upload it again.

I just checked the resolution thats it , had forgotten abt the 40kb limit thing.

In case you missed it, the siggies arent "uploaded to TE", but rather "hot-linked" to another free image hosting site.. which would explain why the 40KB image limit rule isnt kicking in automatically. :|

i don't mind the 40kb limit.... i just wanted to increase the height a bit to atleast 200 pixels... 400x200 pixels is not that huge man...

use the center BBcode [ center ] image/text [ / center ] minus the spaces
