CPU/Mobo Motherboard for Athlon XP

hello,

motherboard recently died and I am looking for a new motherboard for athlon xp 1700+ (266 fsb)

range upto 2500. intergrated nforce 2 with gf4 mx if possible

which models are available ???
 
if i remember correctly, there is a good asrock motherboard based on the nf3 chipset. but dunno abt the prices.

p.s you have to search around a bit for the boards. when i went to my dealer last week, he said almost all socket A and older motherboards have very little or no supply
 
^ Yep exactly, was lookin out for a Socket A board a month back too and was disappointed to find almost no boards available, had to literally go shop to shop and finally found an Asrock Via KM400 based board - yes, a Via! so you might be really lucky to get a decent nf2 board! It costed around Rs. 2.2K i guess.

They've effectively phased out Socket A in favour of the A64 architecture. Some dealers that do have boards refuse to sell their stock because they have Socket A procs with them and would not like to be left without any boards to go with those procs!
 
Pretty true crazy. Delta peripherals even told me that they are lacking motherboards though they have processors to go with it. He would show me procs and tell me that he wont be selling them. I think i saw a kyrpton c18g - nf2 with igp motherboard in some shop.

Hey anonymous, if you are planning to sell that processor then let me know. Im looking for one and cant find it in the market.
