Motorola defy in a glass of water?

Any defy owners on this forum who have tested the life proof features of the defy? Something like putting it in the sink, dropping it etc...?

Curious to know your experiences.

I also started out by pouring water over it then moved to dipping the device till just below earpiece. If i keep it dipped in water filled mug then some water sneaks in behind the battery so now (I) understand that its not water proof but water resistant like it will have no problem in rains. But then my 3.5mm cover no longer fits in.

-Full submersion in a swimming pool

-Regular washes under the tap when it gets dirty

-Dropped in concrete, marble n brick .. from 5 feet.

-Used it under pouring rain ..

Just make sure both the seals are firmly in place.

My friend recently brought a Motorola Defy. Ever since, he had been showing it off a lot making fun of my C7 saying how tough and water proof his phone is. 2 days ago, he had to walk in heavy rain for almost 30 minutes. Till yesterday evening, its microphone was not functioning properly after that. He is keeping it in a plastic case along with silica gel. :D At the same time, another friend was also caught in the same rain with his 5230. Even though it got wet completely, it was functioning perfectly fine.

Really made my day...:D:D:D

Update: The Defy has started functioning normally again on the 3rd day...
