What's the best mobile phone with a (EDIT : QWERTY) keyboard and costs < Rs 5000 +- few hundred ?

Preferences :

Remember that Asha 300 is a touch and type phone, which means that for navigation you need to use the touch screen. But for messaging and attending incoming calls etc.. you have h/w buttons.

You really don't have a lot of options if you've zeroed in on nokia and samsung. You options, within your range, from these brands are Nokia asha 200, samsung chat or nokia asha 302 (which is 1k more than your budget). So Asha 200 it is for you unless you want to consider other brands or used phones. There are couple of Nokia E5 listings on ebay. It is a very capable phone. Also you will find Nokia e71 and e72 listed. Now these weren't released in last year or so, but are much more capable devices than what you can buy in your budget right now.
