Graphic Cards MSI GeForce 6600 (256 MB, DDR2); as good or better than XFX?

The DDR2 version of XFX GeForce 6600 is not available in my city (DDR & DDR3 are available). Should I go for the MSI one? It cost about 150/- more (Rs 7300/-). Thx.

Get one from the buy and sell sections you are getting a 6600GT for much less then that...

i think the msi model is clocked a bit higher than the xfx.. not sure though. if you cannot get an xfx, then go for it. ive had a msi 9800pro card for almost 2 years and havent faced a single problem

edit : dunno about the pricing though..

The only 6600GT available in the market section are from Big. I don't want to but Big's card cause I heard that their failure rate is high and of course the xfx from techboy. Don't know if I should buy from him.

a 6600 gt card with pcie is good.. as in it is cheap.. but what techboy has is a 128 mb card that aint the same as a 256 rig

If you are concerned about the warranty and you don't want to run around, I guess you should go for the MSI one, but I still strongly advise you to go for the GT......

A New 6600GT costs about 8k - 9k in Mumbai..

Various brands.. BIG to XFX to Leadtek, etc.. etc..

LOL you are under a very wrong impression. 6600GT will vastly outperform a 6600 256 mb card, period.

First of all, the 6600, even the GT, cant make full use of the 256mb. So, getting the 6600/6600GT 256mb is pretty stupid.

Id advise you to get the 6600GT 128mb. Its about 8k, as I said.

XFX GeForce (256 MB, DDR3) cost Rs 8800/- from Rashi peripherals here in guwahati. Don't know the latest price of 6600GT but it cost 9600/- abt 3 months back. Anyway, I had already placed my order yesterday. Couldn't wait anymore.
