9 453 ms 467 ms 467 ms 66.249.87.104
Trace complete.
Would someone please comment. Latency seems a bit high.
Also, I was trying to tweak my connection ( I use Win Me ), current settings :
MTU = 1464 + 28 = 1492 ( as per dslreports "How do I optimize my MTU and RWIN settings" here : http://www.dslreports.com/faq/6266 ).
TCP Receive Window = 65535 ( I just could not get the dslreports tweaks test to complete, so I used a value suggested by Navas Cable Modem/DSL Tuning Guide here : http://cable-dsl.home.att.net/ )
These settings have really made a difference. I now get max download speeds of more than 28 kBps at times. It used to be 25 kBps before I used these settings.
However the latency timings seem a bit high. Could other forum users post ping and tracert results please. ( If we all used the same commands as above it would be nice. )
Thanks.
