What about audio settings ??

i meant Stereo Widening and Loudness !!

and where has all the bass gone....

Man sony ericcson rocks in bass... these cell is not havin enough bass.. when i connected my EP to my Ipod and w810 .. it sounds very good ...

PS:
when i applied ur suggested EQ settings... the sound became good enough loud... but there is no BASS at alllllll.......... and these irritates when the Ep`s are good for bass.
damn this cell fone.

may be i am doing some mistakes....

plz highlight few more things which can help me better my sound output thru my N73 music edition !!

ok about audio settings .. put everything on .. loudness , stereo widening etc .. and yes u wont experience the same bass as sony with ep 630 and n73 combo ..

me too have k750i modded to w800i . and with creative ep 630 it sounds damn good ..:ohyeah: u wont experience same bass with n73me ..

@yogi

but for me there is no bass at all buddy.........

is it due to the upgradation i did to a new latest firmware of 4.0.7.2.2.1 ????????

because heard at many other forums that nokia follows europian sound standards.......

I happen to be using the identical setup and can say that while volume is definitely on the lower side bass is present in sufficent quantities. Its not that el cheapo boom-boom that cheap loudspeakers at weddings make :P but its quite good for music. That is of course unless u want heavy bass and not music the way its meant to be...

Our listening genres may also differ though...

I have a firmware which is just one less than the latest one. Will have to check the numbers. I hope this isn't your problem. If it is however it should be remedied by Nokia with a newer firmware soon

hmm... I have been facing the same problem myself. Bass is just poor. And that too with EP-630. And there is an definite hissing sounds - which starts as soon as music player is started.

Im using the same firmware version 4.0.7.2.2.1 -- prolly due to that?

if your EP630 is brand new, then it will take 10-12 hours or so to break in. After that they sound amazing.

Switch off the loudness, all it does is increases treble even more.

Stereo widening is personal choice, I prefer the music in its original form so i dont use it.

@funky....
even i dont prefer switchin on loudness...

but wat abt eq settings ???

what do u prefer ?

u use default or made ur`s one !!

thanks for ur replys ppl.....

keep ON................

well I have made a custom preset with everything maxed out. this is better with EP630. There are some 3rd party players for the S60 v3 but i dont feel the need to install one.

I have been using it for 3-4 months. It's already "broken-in".
Stereo widening and loudness are already switched off. But still sounds bad. Vocals are too harsh and bass is flat. And my ears hurt after half an hour of loud music. That has never happened with EP-630 attached to my PC.

You said it rite DEUS !!!!

the treble is so bad with these cell fone ... i dont know wat shud i say abt it...
the media player is crap !

i can hear distorted vocals thru my Ep when connected to this N73.....

EP 630 along with N73 is good ............ whoever said that .. kya yaaar !!! :P
rite now i am under the impression that the defaul earphones which come along with N73ME sound better than EP-630 !!

really ! chek it out !

Woah! Good thing I read this thread. I use N70 on powermp3 on with sennheisers px100 and man, the phone ends up delivering just on the same level of quality as my PC + Winamp!

Looks like N73 performs worse than N70 here.

Or maybe you guys need to install some 3rd party mp3 players in N73 (like Powermp3, make use of that damned symbian!!), and mess with their equalizers a little.

well......

AN important update for u all ( whoever facin sound probs with the N73 along with EP1s )

my custom EQ settings : ( plz note there are 5 standing lines with 11 markers over them)

1st Line : till the 10th marker or may be 9th marker if u want !

2nd line: 7th marker

3rd line : 5th marker

4th line: 6 1/2 marker

5th lines: 4th marker

AUDIO SETTINGS :

stereo widenin OFF

Loudnesss OFF
one more important NOTE:
please see to that the EP`s u are wearing , u wear it after tryin some techniques stated in PUN`s Ep-630 short but precise review ...

middle silicone`s suits me now and u shud try wearin it after stretchin ur ear upwards a bit and seein which one fits the best
or u will miss on BASSSSSS....

for me its soundin good now... just see if its the same for u ???

for me ep 630 sound very good with n73 me .. just that bass is not that strong as my k750i.. default earphones are of no use to me .. not loud enough and lot of background noise while using them ..

also found out that my ep 630 is broken .. sound from left earbud is gone very low . this may be due to my rough handling ..any suggestions how to fix it other than the service station ..:)

Hi there, I just bought an N73 and have the same problem of bad high treble with hissing sound. I immediately think the phone speaker in junk.

The strange thing is, I went to the "Clock - Alarm" section and loaded the same song, it sounds so good - like a totally diffferent phone!

I tried adjusting the equalizer but I can't get the same sound as with the "clock - alarm".

I need help too!
