Hello,

I am thinking of buying a laptop for myself, main usage would be multimedia.
Unfortunately i am on a bit tighter side of the budget say around 25-27k max :ashamed: ... I shortlisted 5-7 laptops atm the moment.. Can you guys guide me as to which ones the best of em ? .. I would want a notebook thats got a good upgrading scope.. and a decent after-market service.. not too knowledgeable on buying laptops.. also let me know the place where i can get the notebook cheap in mumbai ?..

Following are the ones that i have shortlisted..
1 . Acer ASPIRE 4315-100508
2. Acer ASPIRE 4920-3A0512
3. Lenovo (IBM) G400 Series
4. Dell Inspiron 1420-202 1.6GHz (please suggest me some more dell notebooks in the same price range)
5. Toshiba Satellite L40-N504
Also suggest me any other brand other than the ones mentioned above.. I am lost  even after shortlisting.. lol

Thanks !

i got myself a compaq presario f733au for 26k minus the freebies and the bag. it is powered by an AMD athlon 1.9 dual core processor and NVIDIA 7000 graphics card. it's made for Vista, though u'd need to upgrade the RAM. it's 15 inch, 120 GB HDD, CD/DVD dual layer writer. webcam.

how is the service offered by compaq?... i ve heard compaq is also called HP and HP's service is bad... is tht true ?.. Does it also have a reflective screen or is it a glossy/matt finished screen.. i would prefer the second option more.. dont want to really look at my own face lol :D .. Whats the ram freq. 533 or 667mhz?

at 32k u couuld get a dell 1525 + 2gb ram + c2d proc+ if lucky in bargaining a accessory or 2.. seems like the best bet at the price..
