need a point & shoot digital camera for 10-15k

Should have good image quality and should be able to record decent/good quality 720p movies.Need one with a good battery life with lithium rechargable batteries.

Photos, movies intended for playback on 32 inch lcd.

And yes should be convenient and easy to operate.
 
Read some reviews online which says video quality isn't that good.Also lack of rechargeable li batteries is an issue.
 
The only alternative I can think of,in that budget, is the Kodak Z981. Do read up on that. Though your battery requirement still wont be met. I have used the older Z980 and the video quality is quite decent,though I havent tried viewing it on a 32 inch telly. :)

Check Sony DSC HX1, according to sonyindia's site its available for Rs 17990/- few months ago when i last checked this cam was priced Rs 24990/-.
 
you should consider Nikon L120.. it comes fopr abt 13500 after discount on letsbuy.com.. its a nice camera just for point and shoot purposes with real nice zoom capabilities.. also, the bronze color model looks absolutely stunning as well..
