Storage Solutions Need a storage solution for my desktop

I have 4 TB of storage in my desktop - all the hard drive bays have been filled.

I am looking for a solution that will allow me to backup all the 4TB of data, as well as provide me with some more space for my desktop - and the files have to be accessible whenever my desktop is operational.

Would a hard drive enclosure like this work:

I can fill it with 4 x 2 TB drives so I can backup my data and still have 4 TB left for my other files

Would suggest to spend some more cash and build a NAS. Seriously, you can get a good AMD CPU+ECC mobo for 7~8Kish, add ECC RAM, HDDs, SMPS+case, a flash disk and the rest is just Freenas.

I would have have suggested a Ready made NAS, but that volume definitely deserves a custom NAS built.
