A Corsiar DDR3 1333Mhz 2gb stick costs Rs.2550 X2 = 4gb for Rs.5100

AMD Phenom II X2 555BE(3.2Ghz, 2 cores, 6MB L3 Cache) Rs.4900

MSI 880GMA-E45 Rs.5700

Total = Rs.15700 -/-

is Corsair xms3 that cheap? :O

or is it the Value Select?

last time i checked, 4GB XMS2 (800MHz) was @ 5300, & XMS3 (1333MHz) @ Rs.6300.

btw, instead of X2 you can go for X3 440 (Rs.3.7k), even if it fails to unlock you'll still have 3cores to play with :D & according to Toms hardware, X3 440 is still the best budget gaming CPU.

Check out this model I never said its XMS3, CORSAIR 2GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 Desktop Memory Model VS2GB1333D3 G

After addition of 5K the only thing you need to upgrade is your processor, you should buy Phenom II Quad X4 - 965 BE for Rs.8900.

AMD Phenom II X2 555BE(3.2Ghz, 2 cores, 6MB L3 Cache) is beating Athlon II X3 440 in almost all the benchmarks.

I would suggest u a partial upgrade now and go for a full blown upgrade 1-1.5 yrs down the line when AMD comes up with a different socket for their products and when Sandy Bridge comes. As u already have 4GB of RAM and USB 3.0 drives are still costlier it is not a value upgrade for u at the moment.

For ur screen resolution and monitor size for gaming a AthlonII X3 would suffice for now.

I would suggest the following,

AthlonII X3 425 ~ 3.2k/ AthlonII X3 435~3.5k (PoBoy in TE has managed to unlock this proccy with the Giga 785G to AthlonII X4 :))

Biostar A785GE ~ 3.3k/ Gigabyte 785GM-US2H~4.1k

Total: 6.5-7.5k

This should remove bottlenecks and serve u well for ur monitor resolution for gaming for ~1.5yrs.

Save the rest and go for a full blown upgrade by Oct-Dec, 2011.
