Need good camera(li-on)

I am looking to present a camera for my dad for his birthday. I need a good camera with excellent battery life...image quality etc below 7k.

I am bankrupt for the moment and cant extend the price.......howver do suggest caameras that are really good within 15k. I might consider them.

Theres the panasonic fs5 on ebay for 7.4k. Seems like a nice camera. I dont know how the Sony S series is. The W210 is 8.8k i think. The newly launched W180 or W190 must be cheaper
