Need help buying iphone4 from eBay!

Hi, my friend needs to buy an iPhone 4, he can shell out max 22-23k so I advised him to buy from eBay US and get it delivered to his place using my SnS account.
He doesn't want used or refurbished iphone.

So here I have some queries regarding the same..

  • Would it be better to buy from ebay india? or ebay US is better option? coz in india iphone4 with gevey sim is retailing for min 27k.
  • Will I get warranty if I get the phone from US?
  • There were 2 kinds of locked phones available on ebay.. first were from Verizon and Second from AT&T.. which one is easier to unlock?
  • Finally can you people help me get a good deal on ebay or any other site?
I have paypal and SnS account.

Verizon is CDMA , so it won't work with the GSM based operators in India.

No warranty would be applicable on the iPhone.

eBay US would be seeing decrease in prices of FU iPhone 4 sales as iP4S hits the stores, so u can keep a check on the auctions and bid accordingly.

Thanks for your advice, but what if I buy locked phone and get it unlocked using gevey sim? that way I'll be getting it way cheaper than factory unlocked one.. right?
