Hi guys i am looking to buy a new laptop,it would be mainly used for gaming and watching movies.
I was looking for an XPS(t8100,8600m gt), then i heard about dv5-1015tx(p7350) and 1120tx(t5800) with 9600m gt.
All of the above 15.4".
Then somebody suggested studio 17(p8400,hd3650).
Now i am really confused and in dire need of your help.
My budget is around 60K.
Can somebody tell the pros and cons of the above models?????

as far as I know the XPS itself is known to have issues, particularly heating and smudge marks.

At your budget try to see if KMD can ship across some Centrino2 from US.

Try sites like newegg.com and Coupon codes and discounts for 20,000 online stores! RetailMeNot.com and DealStop.com - Coupons, Deals, Bargins, Discounts and Freebies and dealdump.com | one page, all best deals on the internet

You will get great deals.

I have seen Dell laptops being on 25% discounts.

Plus decide your needs and then buy.

playing HD movies, Games requires good graphic card.

CAD modelling etc is better left to desktops in case you plan to do that.

If you are buying from US make sure you buy the 3 year warranty too.

Cheers and all the best

Edit: You seem to have decided already.

Then take a rough Idea from my side.

A good proccy C2D or Centrino 2 @ 2Ghz , 2+ MB cache

4 GB RAM (it wont hurt)

dedicated graphics card (256 MB minimum), avoid 8XXX series atleast in Dell

320 GB HDD

9 Cell battery

bluetooth(You need it wont you)

stick to 13 or 14 inch screen size (resolution is quite good and laptop is lighter plus backup increases)

upgrade to 9 cell battery if you want that (though i believe the premium over 6 cell isn't justified)

3 year international warranty

Thats about it from my side
