PC Peripherals Need Help Urgently : Regarding Death Adder

Hi .

Iam using Windows Vista 32-bit.
I recently bought a death adder.
Before i open it i want to know what all firmwares do i need to flash in it.
I do not like to use the drivers.
So should i install drivers,upgrade firmware and then uninstall drivers ?
Also,Please keep in mind that i use windows vista.
