Graphic Cards Need help with Galaxy 8600 GT

Hi there, i am in a little confusion. The ITWares has listed a Galaxy/BIG 8600GT with 512MB DDR3 ram!! At first site i thought it may have DDR2, but i mailed them and the ITWares guy, Rahul replied and said it has DDR3 memory. Its priced at Rs.7800. I feel very attracted to this card, because it will have same features as that of a 256MB variant plus double the memory. So do you think its worth a buy, i am really into it, but in a kind of confusion. 256MB or 512MB? Will it have better performance:huh:

PS: First i thought this can be posted in Hot deals and discussion area, but as i need my query with graphic card to be solved, i posted it here. Sorry if i am wrong.

Actually no...512MB on this card is not worth it.

Reason being, the high end cards of today can only utilize all the extra VRAM on ultra high resoltions (720p and above usually).

Besides I doubt if its the pre OC'd card.

Anyways stick with the Galaxy 8600GT pre OC'd card @ 7200
 
At 600 difference you may as well go for the 512MB one...

You can scare the noobs that you have a 512MB card and all the 8800GTS 320MB are losers paying so much more for a 320MB one...:rofl:

in short its your e-pen1s :p
