Hi friends,

I am looking for a guy in Delhi/NCR who can Root my Samsung Galaxy S I9000 & Install CM 7 on it.

Currently SGS is on 2.3.3 updated via Kies software.

I can even pay the guy few bucks for this work if he teaches me how to do that myself.

Interested members can PM me.

Thanx

P.S. The person must take the responsibility in case my phone is bricked or lost its IMEI no during his Custom ROM Installation.

I think you can read XDA and try it on your own and there's a provision to take a backup of the folder for IMEI, please read XDA and try to learn yourself, it will be good for you in future also to be independent.

Why dont u try doing it yourself by reading the threads at XDA Forums...The Galaxy S community is very strong over there...

Why would you expect someone else to take responsibility for your phone getting bricked. Just head over to XDA and do it yourself. Its no rocket science. There is step by step instructions on what has to be done. Just follow them.

I would like to help a fellow forum member ( do it for free and teach you as well ) , but why would someone take responsibility if something goes wrong ?

Even XDA people explicitly state that they don't take responsibility if you brick your phone.

You don't deserve a mod... Sorry to sound rude but you also did sound rude about not taking responsibility... if you can't take the risk don't expect goodies.

This is not practical my friend. Are you yourself "fully" aware of what's inside CM7 ? Still you are willing to install the same. You are doing that in good faith and after reading lots of reviews, experiences shared by others.

However I do understand the point you are trying to make. Only that it was not put forward correctly. You would like a person who is comfortable/experienced with the process to help you; not that some novice who want to 'try' should use your phone as scapegoat.

Well as others suggested, go to XDA.. there are lots of step-by-step procedures. Read them, try to compile the steps yourself and post the list here or on XDA. People will surely help you with the procedure and can comment on missing steps. When you compile the list on your own, you will surely feel comfortable with the process.

And finally, SGS is a popular device and so is CM7. Lots of trial and testing has already been done; leaving behind a trivial chance of any error.

You are getting a baked cake .. just eat it right.

Don't use custom Rom's if u cant do it urself. The stable is more than useful for you.

Read the guide few times even though you dont understand a thing. You may get the information together at a later point.

Also think yourself why do you really need to install CM7.

Boss i m paying the person(not getting it done for free) so he need to take responsibility.

If sm1 think he can repair the SGS, if anyhow bricked, then why he is raising his hand for this !!!

Finally Jdutt has decided to help me personally.

Thanx others for guiding me...
