Hi, I am looking to have dual monitor setup to have better productivity as right now I am using ubuntu on sony vaio laptop which I am finding inadequate.

Can someone suggest me what kind of monitors/hardware should I get ? any where to check the hardware first (I am in Bangalore though ezone don't have such configurations) before buying it ? I am unsure about budget so selecting 30k to 40k, I just need it for browsing and development

you can get some of the products cheaper locally.

Well, with such a low budget, you will need to go for the following:

2 x 20 inch Dell monitors (2020M or something similar). They should cost about 5 to 6K each and have a 720p resolution. They will need to have a VGA input as well as a HDMI/DVI input.
Intel Core i3 2nd gen or 3rd gen
H61 or B75 motherboard. It should have a VGA as well as DVI/HDMI out.
4GB single RAM stick clocked at 1600MHz. Corsair or G Skill.
The other components you can add as per your requirement.

Use a DVI cable for the first monitor and VGA for the second monitor. If you have spare cash, opt for a GPU if needed, but mostly, the IGP should be enough as long as you stick to browsing and dev work.

This is just a generic suggestion.
