Hey guys ..

I gotta buy a Mouse .. My budget is 1.5k . Which one should i go for ?

People say Gaming Mouse and Normal Mouse are same :O ? Is it true ?

And is there a significant difference between a gaming and a normal mouse ?

Am thinking of getting Logitech MX-518 from KMD [ KatmanDude ]
And is Intelli 3.0 better than MX518 ?

Thanks , please reply asap as i gotta order it from KMD on Monday .

I suggest you try it out at a friends' place if you get the chance. No doubt MX-518 is a favourite of many gamers. But when I tried it, I found it just too big for my hands. I found the Logitech MX310 and the Razer Copperhead much better to use.

Hmm.. Razer Copperhead is way over my budget ..

And People say Gaming Mouse and Normal Mouse are same ? Is it true ?

no they are not the same first of all...

the choice between MSIE 3.0 and mx518 is up to you...the opinion varies from 1 person to the next

From what I get the mx518 and mx310 use the same optical tracking engine, only difference is that the mx310 is slightly smaller, and can be used by left and right handers, but the mx518 only by right handers.

So performance wise they will be similar, depending on the size of your hands and comfort, you can buy either.

No gaming mice and normal mice are not the same!

yup got for it provided you have smaller hands.. i heard ppl saying that the MX310 has better grip over most of the pads :)

basically mx310 is agile n mx518 is for better precision....mx518 is better but u need to get adjusted to the size....its big....if u got small hands then u wud b uncomfy with it....
mx310 shud fit in all hands n is excellent at the price

Hmm..But i wanna do a one time investment , and the mouse should work for 3-4 years and doesn't get outdated .So should i get MX518 then?

you would have to take care for the mouse to last 3-4 years. you cant abuse it and expect it to last that long. but if handled carefully it may last.

mx518 is a really good mouse. i would suggest you have a look first and see if it fits your hand properly. if it does, nothing like it. :)

if you really want a mouse which will last for next 3 years ...get a microsoft intelli 3.0... i guarantee u that the mx518, deathadder or any razer mice will need replacement within next 2 years ..one problem or the another.

and mx310 doesnt use the same engine as 518....310 is a pretty old mouse...and its intended as a "basic" gaming mouse...at the same level of Microsoft wheel optical mouse . .. im just mentioning thats all..being a gamer myself i know that the optical engine or dpi etc aint important..and its the shape of the mouse according to user's taste and the comfortability that matters...check out the shape n grip of the mice..and find out which suits ur style of grip the best, size of ur palm ...etc

a mouse which cost more is 4 those who need that little advantage while playing online games. if u cant do it with ordinary mouse dont buy high cost ones (no need 2 bother this post if u r a pro gamer). read it in digit or pcworld

I play Online games , such as Team Fortress 2 , COD4 [ stopped for a while ] and starting CS again...

and am in a clan in TF2 , so i need a good one!

Hehe , getting MX518 then :D

Can anyone explain me ... how much difference is there [ while gaming ] in a normal mouse and a gaming mouse?
