Need suggestion for RAM Modules and CPU Cooler

I have never done overclocking before. Will ocing shorten the life span of the CPU if a good CPU cooler is used?

I have a Core i3 530 Processor with Gigabyte GA-H55M-USB3 Mobo and want to overclock the CPU.

Kindly suggest a good and silent CPU cooler for the same. Is the Arctic Cooling Alpine 11 Pro good for the i3? Is it available in India?
 
freezer pro and hyper 212 a little less than 2k !

and v8 is 4-5k !

i think you should get hyper 212+ ! very nice and will let you overclock to 3.6-4 ghz :)
 
Will the Hyper 212+ fir in my mobo, I mean, will it obstruct the other parts/addons surrounding the CPU?
 
well that depends on your motherboard and what all do you have ! you will have to check the dimensions and see if it can fit yourself !

just open the case :)
