Hi Guys,
I have recently bought a Sony LED TV which has Internet capability. I have 2 options to connect it to my network; first by running a Ethernet cable from my Router to the TV and 2nd option, buy the Rs 3000 proprietary USB WiFi dongle from Sony. I don't want to use that dongle, as I think its a total waste and obscenely priced for a 1 trick pony from Sony.
What I have in mind is to setup a WiFi bridge, by getting a new WiFi AP/repeater/extender having multiple ethernet ports. I can connect the TV to one of the Ethernet ports of this AP and maybe use remaining ports for future connectivity of Media Players, Consoles, etc.
My present setup is a D-Link DSL-2750U ADSL Modem+WiFi Router. The distance between this router and my TV is approx 5 meters and has 1 wall in between. What would be the possible solution to establish this connectivity? I prefer something in Rs. 1000 range, if possible.
Please help me with your ideas and recommendations.
Thanks,
StillWaters
