CPU/Mobo Need suggestions for Motherboard

Hi! I want to upgrade my motherboard as my current motherboard does not have enough SATA ports to suite my requirements. My current system specs are:

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 2.4 GHz
GPU: AMD 7750 1 GB(GDDR 5)
Sound Card: Asus Xonar DG
HDD: Seagate 500 GB
Cabinet: NZXT Gaurdian 921 RB
RAM - 3 GB Corsair
PSU: Corsair CX430 V2


My Budget for the motherboard is ~5K. From what i've read so far, Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H looks like a good bet. Please suggest me with better options if any.
 
Isn't E7400 a 775 pin processor?
You will need to get a pci or pcie card with sata on it or you can get a hdd dock or sata hot swap tray.

Intel Core i3 4130 -7500,
Gigabyte B85M-D3H -5500,
Corsair Vengeance 4GB 1600Mhz -2500.
Total -15,500.

I see there isn't much point in buying a 775 socket motherboard. So I've decided to save for a better processor and motherboard. Thanks for your help guys!
 
Better save around 12-15k and then upgrade. Going from lga 775 to new Gen components, will require change of CPU, mobo and ram.
