Storage Solutions Need to buy an external HDD - which one? and from here or US ?

Hi,
I need to buy an external HDD.
Around 80gb must be more than enough for me.
I can get it from US through my cousin.
So I want to know should I buy one here or from there ? I mean, is there any significant price difference ?
Also which on should I go for ?
 
Buying an 80 gb isnt exactly a wise decision. The least a portable 80 will cost you is about 1.5k, for about 2 k you can get a 250 gb hitachi on ebay. Use a coupon and get it even cheaper. Incase you get it from the US you might have a tough time claiming warranty. And the price difference on such a low cost item will be negligible.
 
if you want a portable HDD that doesnt need any external power, buy one of atleast 250GB.
if you have no problems with providing external power, then,,
if you already have a 80GB SATA or PATA HDD, buy a case (Rs. 400) for such and make it an external HDD.
buy the frontech case, as i have seen it come with a long power cable.
