Monitors need to buy lcd this week!

6pack

ex-Mod
Dont have a monitor now, so I need to buy an 19 or 20 inch lcd this week.

i want to buy a lcd which is 8-bit + widescreen. which of the current available models offer these?
budget is around 15k - i know it too less for a 20inch but was hoping to put the remaining money into a new sata hdd.

any places in lammy where i could buy them in a day or so?

8-bit + Widescreen:

Viewsonic VX2025wm - 18750/- May not be available anymore
Dell 2007wfp (or it is fpw?) - ~26K. S-IPS Panel. Best possible quality.

Neither fits in your budget, though :(

if 15k is your budget, i think you have only one choice - samsung 940bw. Lots of guys in TE have it, including me, and its worth the money! Its around 14.5k in Chennai..

where was 2025 available last? i'll just phone and ask those guys if they can get one for me

i just did a panel comparison on prad.de and all the 19inch monitors are TN ones :(

thanks a lot, @zhopudey - i have their no.

will call asap.

btw - more research shows that - Samsung 204Ts (S-IPS), ViewSonic VP2030b(MVA), ViewSonic VX2025wm(P-MVA)

dont know the prices or availability though

Samsung 204Ts has a 20 inch 16 ms S-PVA (Samsung LTM201U1) panel.
ViewSonic VP2030b has a 20 inch 8 ms (g2g) P-MVA (AUO M201UN02 V5) panel.

Don't know about 204T, but I doubt 2030b is available anymore.

just 1 question popped in my mind right now: how do i know by looking at it that its a p-mva panel? or any checklist to confirm its a p-mva panel

Sorry to hack into your topic, thought it wasnt worth another thread when one is already there.

Im also looking for a lcd,if u guys may suggest one for me 17" or 19"..

Ill do a lot of cs,but i dont want those 6bit TN's,but still i need some decent response time..

I prefer some static image quality and colours too,and not to mention DVI..
