PC Peripherals Need to set up a 30K rig

Hey guys, my friend is buying a new pc (unlike me he has lill knowledge when it comes to pcs and requires a decent rig)..
So guys help me out on this one...
AMD cpu - 2800/3000 ? or Intel C2D
mobo - no idea but need one with decent onboard vram
Ram - Trancend/Hynix 512
HDD - Seagate 160gb sata
Cabby with power - Zebronics?
Monitor - Samsung syncmaster 17 crt
Speakers - Creative/Logitech 2.1
Keyb -?
Mouse - ?

Please suggest...:huh:
 
what do you mean by onboard vram? Are you refering to onboard graphics support? onboard graphics solutions make use of a part of system memory instead of having dedicated memory seperately.

You should be able to put together a Althon X2 3800+, An nVidia or ATi based Mobo with onboard graphics, 1GB DDR400 and the rest of the stuff in less than 30k.
 
there was this thread about a 25k rig recently .. just search for that, and get a better mobo if ull OC or a better monitor or sumthin ..

yeah check out the other "rig for" threads on the forum. You will get hints for both C2D and Athlon rigs.
