Need working drivers for Realtek 8139D for win 7 64 bit

As the title says it all i need WORKING drivers for Realtek 8139D for win 7 64 bit. I downloaded some from realteks website but win 7 doesnt device manager doesnt show any when the folder is selected. Also when the exe setup is done, it too does nothing. I literally had a man hunt for this driver in google but ended up downloading some good, some fake and some vista 64 bit drivers but still 7 isnt accepting any of them.

Re installed win 7 but same issue.

The lan card works perfectly fine on xp/2k8/2k3/vista 32etc.

If anybody has the driver plz share it with me as i m fed up of this nasty issue.

**Forgot to mention its not my onboard but PCI Lan card which is 10/100mbps.

since you are using biostar, is it integrated lan card, if so why dont you go to the biostar official website and look under your model and download ?

run 'cmd' in elevated mode and type

'set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1"" (without the quotes)

then

"start devmgmt.msc"

the device manager window pops up, go to "view" > "show hidden devices".

then remove the lan driver completely and restart. The changes made above are temporary and dev mgr will be reverted back to normal state when its closed. Install a fresh copy of the driver and it ll be solved. Had to do this for some nasty network drivers, especially some dlink wifi cards and some rlt chips.

{You can set it permanently to show non present devices by editing the environment variables and giving the variable value 1 for "set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices" in user or global/system variable fields }

please let us know if its solved.

Moreover sometimes the 8111 does work with builtin drivers of Windows 7, but will fail to work at 1gbps throughput and will connect only at 100mbps at times. Installing the proper drives will sure make it as good as any Intel or any other Gbit NIC.

@dOm1naTOr: thanx for the help but i dint get you further.

Ii followed the steps and here is the snapshot.

You said to remove the driver completely, does that mean i should uninstall the devices completely and the reboot and try to install them again?:S

As you can see i attached another same lan card 8139D but stuck in same situation.

sorry for late reply,

missed it was a discrete NIC. download this > http://www.mediafire.com/?q4ofebndeh8p59h

i have the very same lan cards, around 4 of them. One of them is currently working fine on my system and this is the sys file backup of the driver. First remove both ethernet controllers by uninstalling them both and reboot. Wait for hardware detection and browse for this file. It will get installed.

If it still doesnt work, follow the above steps to remove existing traces, reboot and install the win7 drivers provided here > http://www.realtek.com/Downloads/do...d=6&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

download the basic driver only and browse for it when asked for drivers when detecting new hardware after startup.

Ronit,

let me know if you have success with PCI Lan card. I too have same & D-Link card but fail to install any & since using on-board with Intel DH67BL (B3) :(

It detects hardware but never prompts or asks for the drivers. Ut simply shows the exclamatory mark in device mngr. If atleast it have asked, there would have been some hope.

Thats what i have been doing since many days but that too not working. I even got another similar card from a friend and even he too is facing same issues. Tries my cards on his machine but to no avail. I have given up now. Downloaded every driver from realtek and all seem useless and hopeless.

I guess its time to dump these cards which are not that old too. and get a new dlink cards. Atleast i found them trustworthy in terms of drivers and support.

I have about 4 of these cards from cheap brands like Enter, Intex and Tech-com with 8139D. never had any driver issues. Have you tried that driver file which i uploaded on mediafire?

Yes tried it the day you uploaded. I installed windows again this time from another win7 genuine dvd and also allowed to the cards to get an u[updated driver via windows update but it show that no driver is available. M done coz i have tried each possible driver on the net and even made my own comby drivers by combining all of them but hell. Intex site driver download too is just upto vista support and no win 7. That too cant be download coz its linked to some ftp site asking for login credentials.
