Net-Banking Page - Real or Fake?

Generally I make payment through Net-Banking for mobile recharge (www.vodafone.in)
The usual 3 pages that I am greeted with are -
  1. The login page
  2. The Remark/Comment Page
  3. Login Page with transaction password and Net Secure Code
Today the 3rd page seems odd there is no mention of Net-Secure code and I don't get a Net Secure code on my mobile either. To be safe I didn't use it and used Axis Bank's own recharge mobile facility.

But I am still wondering if this was a close call or my imagination simply running wild.

The other odd thing is it mentions I should login through www.axisbank.co.in instead of www.axisbank.com I spoke to a customer care executive and he said it is .com and not .co.in and also asked me to a send screenshot of the page in mail which I did a few minutes back.

Any other Axis Bank account holders here who can shed some light on this?

its legit. the url is standard for netbanking transactions. customer care is wrong. once you enter into 'personal banking' , its .co.in
is your browser/ PC configured as private computer for netsecure?
Login through the axis bank website and check. lot of times when browser get updated or removal of temp internet files & cookies causes changes of settings.

@puns -
How do I check the highlighted bit?

I did log in to Axis and recharged through it.

when you register for netsecure, it asks you whether your PC is public or private. check with another browser.
i didnt understand netsecure code on your mobile part in your OP.
Netsecure is a 4 to 6 digit number which when you enter, axis bank will then show random numbers which you need to type to go further. i never get codes sent to my mobile.
It may be possible that shopping online can skip netsecure portion and just confirm payment based on transaction password only.

A random number of length 8 is always sent to me as Net Secure Code on my mobile which is to be used within a time period alongwith transaction password. After the time period, on being used or if a new code is requested the previous code turns invalid.

The last line in the quote seems to fit the scene but why did it change all of a sudden is what worries me.

the simple rule of the thumb is that if you click on the little lock symbol next to https, you can see the security certificate of the site. the site's name in the certificate and the url should match.

Earlier this month, i paid for some service using netbanking (i use Axis bank, same as u) and as usual, it did ask for netsecure code which they sent on my mobile phone. (i paid on 6th August). Dunno if they changed the system after that.

And the CC guy was wrong. The Online banking site is www.axisbank.co.in, where as www.axiasbank.com is the bank's default site.

I think almost every bank out there keeps repeating a warning like "We never ask for your net-banking, DC/CC details and never respond to such mails..."
you should always ignore these kind of mails and report them..

Strange. I ALWAYS get the code on my mobile, never in the browser.
