I guess reading all your reviews I am still undecided.

So please vote your true views.

Competition is between these models

ASUS - 904H

ASUS - 1000H

Acer Aspire One - XP version

Which one is the better one in terms of Battery life , Screen clarity , On board webcam, Processor speed , WiFi and ease of usage and of course the price.

I am sure this is going to make decision taking a lot easier.

904H is useless. celeron based 904 vs the atom aspire one for the same price.

Aspire 1 vs the E1000H?

Comes down to ur budget. 25-26k for the Asus will get u better batt life but the aspire one is cheaper ;)

umm lol how do i undo my vote on 904
accidentally checked both asus ones :)

though i would have voted for asus 901(the newer one with atom) if it was in the list

I would have definately gone for the Acer Aspire One because of its value for money.
But I would not have had bought the XP version. I would have had bought the Linux version and later installed XP on it. It saves money.

But if u need good battery life then u need to in for the Asus 1000H.

MSi WInd and Lenovo S10 missing here...

The wind is almost same specs as the Acer for 21.5k+ 4% = more expensive.

The lenovo S10 again almost same specs as the Aspire one, only difference being an expresscard slot I think. BUT, it has only a 3 cell battery and is priced at 24-25k!

Here's what I consider worth buying, precisely in the order presented here.

1. ASUS N10

2. ASUS 1000H 160GB, 6-cell

3. Lenovo S10

4. Acer Aspire One

5. Samsung NC10

6. Dell Mini 9

OWO ! I never knew that there are so many in the competition ! Thanx for the update . Well cannot change my Voting but will surely help a lot of them like me ..

Ofcourse ASUS 1000H + 160 GB ... no comparison .. Bought for 22K !

Sadly that was a limited piece offer from Asus India as a marketing tactic for dealers :P

Prices are now back up to 25-26k

For 22k its a no-brainer ;)

I am no linux buff , will need help on installation as I may have to copy the complete OS onto the HDD as it does not have a Optodrive. But I do have a 80GB USB drive will that help

1. You can use a USB stick to install XP from it. Google for the link :)

2. Get an external DVD writer :)

Asus N10 has no value for money. At the price it retails for, we can get a full fledged laptop anyway.

Buying a Lenovo S10 is a no brainer when u can get a same spec'ed(except for screen size) Acer Aspire One for 3k less.

I am waiting for the Dell Mini 9 though. Hope it comes with a regular harddisk option in India rather than only SSD.

Fap ...fap ...fap!

1. ASUS N10 is for people looking for better graphics and warranty.
2. Lenovo S10 comes with ExpressCard slot, unlike Acer One.
3. Dell Mini 9 is nowhere near EeePCs, S10 or even NC10 when it comes to usability.

And UMPCs aren't for people looking for a "full fledged laptop" with a 50+40% discount tag.
