i was using the net at around 4:30 AM this morning on my PC when it suddenly stopped working and i have no idea why. i can't browse, use msn or irc or anything of that sort. i plug the ethernet cable into my laptop and everything's working fine.
anyone have any idea about this? it's really weird that it would stop working AS I AM USING IT. the only thing i installed recently is LogMeIn. i suspected that it screwed up my networking somehow so i uninstalled it but no use.
the ethernet port on my computer seems to work as i can successfully acquire an IP address from airtel when i set it to automatic. i just can't do anything after that.
could it be a virus that is blocking all traffic? i wasn't even on a porn site while things suddenly stopped working lol. i was on a well known gaming site. NOD32 shows no results but the definitions are about 3 weeks old.
