Hello,

So I decided to slightly upgrade my pc (blame GPU shortage not full new pc) and wanna ask some questions to not screw up when I get my stuff. Currently I have:

GTX 1070
DDR3 16gb RAM
i5-6600k
650w PSU
Had this pc build since GeForce 10 series launch, but started thinking about upgrade and what I want to ask is:

1. Will I lose a lot if I gonna use I5-12600K on DDR4 Motherboard?
2. Will Corsair H80i v2 will be enough for I5-12600K or should I get something new? (its current AIO I have)
3. Will GTX 1070 work fine on z690 with DDR4/5 motherboard?
4. Will my current PSU will be enough for new CPU, RAM and Motherboard?

Difference between ddr4 and ddr5 is very less so far and ddr5 is very expensive as well. you can easily go with a corsair vengeance used 2x8GB ddr4 memory for even lesser price and use saved money elsewhere.
12600k is 10 core chip. H80i v2 don't have mounting kit for LGA 1700 socket(z690 motherboard) i think. I suggest a decent 240mm rad to be on the safer side and helpful for some overclocking. make sure it comes with LGA 1700 mounting kit included.
GTX 1070 work without any issues in z690 mobo.
It depends on what 650w PSU you have. If you have something like Corsair RM 650X(white grey color) or EVGA supernova G2/P2 then it will be fine. Something like old orange color Corsair VS 650 or Cooler master thunder or similar units are bad, Better to get brand new Corsair RM 750 or RM 750X or Cooler master V750 gold V2 if you decided to upgrade the GPU to something like rtx 3080 in future.

No reason to go for ddr5, improvements are not drastic. I'd suggest buying the 12600KF as you dont need the iGpu. 1070 should be enough and even the PSU is good enough unless it's too old and the efficiency has dropped

Looked corsair web, they do sell mounting kits for 15$ for 1700, but new AIO sound fine to. And yeah, i have RM650i corsair psu.

Even if mounting kit available for H80i I don't think it can handle 170W peak as specified by Intel for 12600k. Don't have any data how a cooler like deepcool AS500 perform with 12600k at stock and OC.
If you primary purpose is gaming only then can get USED(5800X + good B550 mobo + 2x8GB DDR4) and reuse the GTX 1070. Can use the saved money on better GPU once price comes down.
