Prices are not accurate.

Above rig deserves SSD/WD Velocity Raptor/RAID 0 and decent sound card.

Thnx Sidhu :)

But what about ASUS P6T mobo and a GTX 295?

People say therz a huge difference between GTX 275 & GTX 295...

Lets skip the K/M part.

Monitor as Samsung T220 22" - 13.2K

What about the NZXT Guardian 921 Cabinet?

And do you know any good place in India where i can get all these in one shop

with best price and quality?

U dont need GTX 295 for 1680x1050. Single 285 enough.

and Samsung T220 is TN panel afaik, why not spend 1-2k more and buy eIPS panel.

NZXT Guardian has bad layout, no depth, SMPS @ top, HDD bay orientation is crap, no cooling @ all. Anything less than CM 690 wont do for above rig.

GPU, Mobo, RAM, CPU Cooler from KMD, others from Techshopguy, TheITWares and Phoenix.

This is almost perfect... though I will add/subtract a few things

* Get Gigabyte X58 UD3R instead of UD5. Good enough motherboard. I have realized that it is always better to get the cheapest solid mobo that can serve the purpose instead of going for fancy heatsinks, 16-phase Power regulation and umpteen led buttons. Going for UD3R will save you 6K (Locally, 8K via KMD). That means you can add MX 5021 to this rig (speakers).

* SSDs have still not matured enough. And Raptors are very poor VFM now. Better will be to get a 500GB 7200.12 Seagate (Around 3K) and couple it with 1TB WD Hard disk.

* Do give a thought to Antec 900 cabinet. 3K cheaper than * ugly a$$ * HAF, and good enough (cooling+space) to house a very powerful rig. This will also allow you to add a decent UPS like APC 650VA (2.9K) to your rig without extending your budget.

* Aha! graphics card. Another thing that I have realized is that most users, specially those who own 22" or smaller monitors, need not go for an uber-powerful card. My logic is that the way gfx cards performance improves with each generation (8800GTX/9800 pro were exceptions), it's better to get a 12K card, sell it after a year for 6-8K and get another 12K card. In this way you have spent just 18-19K and yet will have a more balanced and better rig than someone who had bought a 24K card with you.

A good decent performance card will do for your 22" monitor. Here, your options are HD4870 1GB/GTX260 (core 216). Both should be around 12 to 13K via KMD. Savings of 10K without losing anything on performance part, unless you are talking about Vantage score. What you say?

And this 10K can go into buying a printer/Blueray combo drive/headphones/sound card etc. All this will go onto balance out your rig.

Excellent points, but I disagree about the Cabinet, the HAF has excellent airflow and layout, if money is an issue, get the CM690 that is VFM.

+1 to Morgoth save that 10k. Get the Dell eIPS better colour production and your budget permits it. if your very concerned about GPU the max you sgould get is a 4890 / GTX 275.

Maybe adding a Xonar to the config if your getting a MX 5021 or the Logitech X-540 depending on your needs.

Also you haven't talked about OC'ing are you really gonna OC ?

IF not maybe there is no point in investing into a Noctua. Also for the PSU isn't the CM M600 available at a cheaper price and thats also modular.

Also the scythe mugen 2 from KMD is a cheaper and better option.

Cabinet is entirely up to you you can get a HAF/690/590 but according to me the Antec 300/900 are the best. Maybe managing the wires would be a bit difficult but then again you will have a modular psu.

Also KMD is a trusted dealer and dealing with him is hassle free. So I'd suggest getting stuff from him.

1.core i7 920--15k

2.OCZ platinum 6gb--6.5k via KMD

3.Gigabyte DS4--15k

4.Zotac GTX295--32k

5.western digital 1tb HDD--5k

6.Dell 2209WA 22" -- 14k

7.Corsair TX650 -- 7k

8.Logitech MX-518--1.2k

9.Cooler master CM690--4k

10.Creative T6060 speakers -- 4k

11.Logitech G15--4k

Total approx: 1.03L

Yeah am not going to OC my rig... actually am scared to do that.
so KMD can provide all the hardwares+assembly for cooling systems+cable management?

Coz i live in Chennai... i have to go all the way to buy the hardwares and bring it safe to my home :(

Can u please post a link to KMD ??

KMD is a dealer on TE.

Contact him via PM and he can help you purchase stuff from the states @ approx Rs.62.00/- per USD, last i checked. The difference, approx Rs.12.00/-, includes his commission as well as shipping charges. His official Thread. Read the fineprint thoroughly to get a better idea.

P.S. which part of chennai are you from?

^^naah he is from bombay.... but most of the stuff you should be able to source locally, since ur spending so much, and warranty is important to you. But no harm in going thro KMD he is a tried and tested dealer.

Nice pickup. all are best but i would suggest a ASUS Rampage II GENE Motherboard as it has a SupremeFX X-Fi onboard 8 -Channel High Definition Audio CODEC
EAX® Advanced™ HD 4.0
X-Fi CMSS®-3D
X-Fi Crystalizerâ„¢
Creative ALchemy
Will suit the Rig. Else everything is best in the class for the Rig.
