There is no point upgrading CPU i-7 930 if this is a gaming rig. Sell ur RAM for 1.5k and monitor for 4k. Budget: 55k

If u have 50k then buy

RAM: Corsair XMS2 4GB kit 800Mhz DDRII RAM ~ 5k

GPU : Sapphire HD5850 1GB GDDR5 ~ 15.5k

Monitor: Benq G2420HD ~11k

Cabby: NZXT Gamma ~ 2.1k

PSU: Corsair VX550 ~ 5k

CPU cooler: CM Hyper 212 plus ~ 1.9k

Total: 40k

O.C ur proccy to 3.8GHz and you are all set to rock :D This would be much better upgrade rather than getting a i-7 930.

Keep the rest for a platform upgrade or GPU upgrade next year. By next year therre would be ATI HD6xxx series and Intel's new Sandy Bridge CPU's which will not be compatible with existing chipsets. Also AMD will have their Ilano line up ready.

As u have some cash left u can also choose to go for a Q9xxx 2nd hand proccy for 10k now and wait longer for a platform change.

OptionII. If u want to change platform then i would suggest this.

Sell Proccy+mobo+RAM+Monitor ~ 4+2.5+1.5=4k ~ 12k. Total budget: 50+12--> 62k

Now for the new rig get the following,

Proccy: PhenomII X4 945 ~ 7k

Mobo: Biostar TA890GXE ~ 6.4k/ Gskill Rip Jaws 4GB 1600MHz kit ~ 6.8k

RAM: Corsair XMS3 4GB kit 1333MHz DDRIII ~ 6.4k

GPU : Sapphire HD5850 1GB GDDR5 ~ 15.5k

Monitor: Benq G2420HD ~11k

Cabby: NZXT Gamma ~ 2.1k

PSU: Corsair VX550 ~ 5k

Total: ~54k

Save the rest ~ 8k for future GPU upgrade.

If u are Intel fanboi then i would suggest

Core i-5 750 ~ 10k and Gigabyte P-55 UD2 ~ 6.5k or MSI P55 - GD 65 ~ 8k

^^ thnx a lot man, just one last query, will AMD ilano be compatible with their existing chipsets?
if its so then i am definetly going AMD way.
