I finally got an estimate of the rig wanted. Here are the prices,

C2D E4300 1.8 GHz 4950
XFX 650i Ultra 5500
XFX 8800 GTS 320 MB 16500
coolermaster 600w 3600
160 GB SATA II 2200

all prices from ANKIT Infotech in S P Road IN Bangalore......

AND i have a question.......can anybody suggest an alternative for the CM 600 Watts SMPS that can run the 8800 card smoothly along with the other components. What is the amperage of the CM 600W ( i forgot to see)?.....

suggestions are open......what do you people think of the prices?
 
look at a glacial tech 550w same price. the e4300 is a tad higher should be ard 4.5k not more than that. the money u save invest it in t he HDD get a 250gb for 2.7 k hehe
 
The CM 600W is actually a silverstone 500W PSU which iirc has 20A dual rails. Its more than enough to power a 8800 GTS. In fact a Powersafe 500W is also more than enough. The price for the card seems too high. If im not mistaken the current market price is more like 14k

Btw Ankit tends to give higher prices, unless u can bargain well try some other shops as well. Bangalore computers and Golchha are good choices. you'll get the PSU cheaper at Golchha too since hes the dealer for CM.
