PC Peripherals New Rig

Aiite guys rely so much on this forum to buy off stuff of the rack ,ive decided to upgrade will need some suggetions so that i can decide off ,every input gets a candy .....

Btw to start off with i do have this old stuff ive decided to part with,im putting a list if someone is interested in buying do let me know too otherwise ill just keep this stuff with me..
Old Rig Leftover:-
1.Proccy-AMD 3000+
2.mOBO-asus A8N-E
3.Ram-512 mb-400 mhz-Kingston

Neway about the New Rig what i want is a rig capable of handling Audio Applications (Reason,Ableton,Fruity ,etc etc ) ...rig will be used as a mini studio ....gaming poweress will be an added advantage ...just need some proccy power and RAM i guess and yea im a lil off key on the AMD/Intel war now ..off my lil knowledge i really dont know how these multi core core CPU's fare respectively for em ,suggest as u feel and about the budget ill be honest budget is a lil tight ...just put ur inputs and ill decide :)

It's a no brainer

a Quad core is must. Minimum Q6600 or if you can afford one of those Extreme babies (QX) (for now Intel is a generation ahead of AMD so stick with the Chipzilla)

at least two GB RAM DDR2. Even generic one will do but it's better be 800 MHZ

A mobo with decent numbers of USB, eSATA, and at least one firewire port (could be abit IP35-Pro). Or if you can't afford eSATA luxury and can do without firewire just go for Abit IP35-E

A solid PSU. If you have budget than 450W Corsair or else POV Black Diamond 500W

A good ventilated system (in order of preference): CM 690, Elite 330, Zebronics Bijli (without SMPS)

Lots of HD: minimum 320GB, preferably two disks of 250 GB
DVD-RW: Samsung Sata writer (20x SATA SH-203B)

Any good 19" monitor with DVI input

GFX 7100 GS to begin with. Later, upgrade with 9600GT that is expected to be available in India by first week of March.

A set of decent mouse+keyboard

If you are keen get a nice pair of headphones (as if i need to tell you this ;) )

okay.. as for the softs you siad fruity loops and stuff.. those are not that heavy..

Here is the config i recommend:

e6550 - 6.7k / Q6600 11k

ABIT IP35-E - 5.5k / ABIT IP35 PRO 9.5k

2GB RAM DDR2 800MHZ - 2k

THough i wont recommend you the Quad core and Pro coz you wont be ocing that much so you wont be able to take out much juice of teh quad core..

Hence, I would say get the e6550/ IP35-E ... Get a really good gfx card instead.. Like the 8600GT - 5k or 8800GT - 14k , so u can play games or even use video softwares in future..

ABIT IP35-E does not have onboard gfx so a gfx card is a must.. If u dont want to spend alot n the gfx get a 6600GT 1.5k .. Which is the best card possible.. with very loww power req.

i would pick this up also a decent set of ram is required my bro uses Nuendo and Fruity loops for his work

chk my sig mobo and ram is enuf for such work proccy is all up to u if u wana go quad or core 2 duo
