Hi guys,

My config is:
1. G.Skill RipJaws DDR3 1600 MHz 4GB RAM
2. DH67BL Intel Motherboard
3. Intel i5 2400 Processor
4. Western Digital 160 GB Hard Disk Drive

I was using a CoolerMaster eXtreme 500W PSU but recently it conked off so I bought this PSU, Seasonic SS400BT: http://www.flipkart.com/seasonic-ss400bt-psu/p/itmdfbeqezgmgggf?pid=PSUDFBEPQB2ZCCMS&otracker=from-search&srno=t_1&query=seasonic 400&ref=9ec2a742-439c-4eba-82cf-e87efed7b28e

Right from the beginning it started giving me problems. Basically the PC would boot automatically without pressing the Power Button. And then later it would power on but not boot at all.

Considering the PSU was new, I figured it was a problem with the motherboard. I RMAd it immediately and received a new one. Again, I started having problems where the display wouldn't come on. So, this time I figured it maybe a problem with the PSU and I got the PSU RMAd through flipkart.

But, still I was having problems wherein the display won't come on, and PC wouldn't power up. I checked the RAM and Processor just to be sure, and both were working fine so I gave the motherboard for RMA again (after hooking it up to another PSU where also it didn't give display). I received my new motherboard today.

I hooked everything up and the first boot went fine. However, AGAIN I am facing the same problem now where the PC powers up but I don't get any display.

I'm starting to think this PSU unit is defective in itself and is spoiling all the motherboards that I am hitching to it.

What can I do? Even if I RMA, they will probably give me the same unit.

Awaiting a reply.

I am extremely frustrated.

Thanks in advance.

:)

EDIT: This new motherboard is working fine with my Corsair VX450 PSU.

Is the Seasonic SS400BT a defective model ?

I can very well understand your frustration. I have used this PSU for 2 new builds for my friends in last 4 months. I m yet to receive any complaint from them. If possible try RMA-ing your PSU once again.
