Nikon D40 Kit

^No warranty beyond 3 months though.. small risk attached.JJM are fairly good with after-sales, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Good deal, Anish!

but the problem with d40 & d40x is u need to by high end lenses with inbuilt autofocus motor for the auto focus to work if u put regular lenses u have to focus manually.

30K kit (with default lens) + UV filter + battery pack + 2 GB card
D40x just 8k more than the D40...
totally worth it.

Pity the damn EOS 400D is still 35K+ :(

^MF isn't a bad thing now is it?

^ To be frank, the absence of MF is a bit bloated, because people anyways use digitally corrected lenses on these cameras.

You need to be careful while buying 3rd party like Sigma/Tamron/Tokina though ;)

@ vandal - The 400D is 32k grey (w/ 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 kit)

@ adder - 350D is ancient man, 1.8" LCD doesnt cut it nowadays.
