Ok.... I started this thread so you all can post all the WII jokes you think off :P

Look at the brighter side of it, at least there won't be any insecurities due to its size. All WIIs have the exact length, width, girth etc. hahaha
 
I think the name Wii itself must be a joke. :P Nintendo should revert back to Revolution, or they're gonna lose the gaming market quicker than they can say "Wii" :P
 
Maybe some pharma company will start sending mails like "Does your GF/Wife think you need a better Wii?? Pay us a gazillion $ and we will give you a better Wii(a Sony PS3 ) " :lol:
 
Guys I think Nintendo has succeeded in what it wanted to do. Visit any Tech/Gaming forum/Site on the internet, and all that people are talking about is Nintendo Wii. I mean people may not like it, but maybe it will grow on us with time. I mean cmon, if u really think about it, iPod doesnt make much sense either, and people laughed at Xbox 360 when it was first announced. With one brilliant move, Nintendo has made sure "Wii" is all the "we" talk about for maybe months :oppo:

Yeah, we'll all talk about it, but I for one would NEVER buy something called a Nintendo Wii. :P I mean XBox 360 and iPod both sound cool... But wht the heck is Wii??? :rofl:

Stop all the jokes and read this article first.

Is it a homophone for a British slang word that means "urine"? Yes. But so is the first-person plural pronoun. If I said, "What are we doing tonight," would you repeat back to me, "What are wee doing tonight? Huh? Huh? Get it?" I would wonder what the hell your problem is, quite frankly.

Why not stick with Revolution? Because global branding is of paramount importance. The "Genesis/Mega Drive" days are over. One world, one name. And "Revolution" was never going to fly in Japan, where the word is nearly unpronounceable. The end. If it's a shock to anyone, it's only to those who can't imagine a world beyond their tiny corner of it.
