I have a 9600GT and after I reboot the machine there is no display from the 9600GT but when I connect to the integrated graphics there is display.

This happens randomly, if I switch on the PC after a long time the display from the 9600GT works fine.

The PSU is a CM460. In the BIOS the primary video adapter is set to Ext PCIE Graphics.

What might be causing this?

It could be a loose slot. This happened to my old machine before and I had to tighten and move around the card in the slot and once it started working not to touch it :P

Clean the Slot also the Gold Pins on the GFX CARD with eraser so that any dust will go off....
If it doent help try cleaning the fan or even apllying new thermal paste.

This problem is usually caused due to the PCIe power connector becoming loose due to which the card is not detected.Or it might also be some incompatibility bug.
My brother too faces the exact same problem with his XFX 9600GT.He usually solves it by removing the power cord from the psu, waiting for a few seconds and then putting it back.

There are two DVI connectors on the card and once I connected the monitor to the other DVI port it started working. :D

I think you must Update your BIOS Because some MOBO are not compertable with GPU~!
Try BIOS Update.

Sorry for the late response but the BIOS was up to date.

Anyway after I switched the DVI port I havn't faced any problem yet. Thanks for the help guys. :D
