Guys Lumia 710 has dropped in price to around 15K at most stores. Am extremely tempted t o buy one for me.

The Nokia Lumia 710 is a touchscreen phone with 3.7 inch ClearBlack display. It runs on Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 Mango OS with 1.4 GHz processing speed. The phone has 8GB internal memory, 512MB RAM, and 25GB Skydrive storage. It provides Bluetooth, 3G, and Wi-Fi connectivity. The 5MP camera with LED flash is capable of 720p HD video recording @30fps. Other features include A-GPS, Bing Maps, Nokia Maps, social networking app, IM, and support for Outlook tasks.

Nokia Lumina sold 1.3 million units globally in 2011. Must be a relief after a loss of $19 B in market value in 2011. http://www.businessweek.com/news/2012-01-23/nokia-lumia-sales-seen-topping-1-million-in-relief-for-stock.html

Still Samsung Focus is a much better phone selling even cheaper. Bigger display, Super AMOLED, extendable memory but then again Nokia fan boys cannot be convinced.

@amathur2k

If you care about Front Camera or AMOLED screen, then go for Omnia W. Else 710 is great in this price range! Personally I would prefer Omnia for the two reasons mentioned above.

Nokia Lumia 710 is a much better package as you get the best turn by turn offline navigation with nokia drive which is exclusive to nokia phones, also EA will be releasing 20 premium games which will be exclusive and FREE to Lumia phones for some time(guessing 3 months exclusivity) and after that the same games will be made available to all the WP7 phones and will cost you around 20x$5= roughly Rs.5000 if you own any other windows phone.

I would agree with you but the 2nd gen specifications really make a lot of difference. WhatsApp was unusable on my Optimus 7 but is really slick on the Lumia 800. That alone makes the 710 a great deal in my mind. Turn by turn nav , mix radio all are really great additions to the phone.

Lumia 710 @ 15K.

Oh this is tempting.

btw, was wondering - price of 800 coming down anytime soon.

I'm actually awaiting WP8 or whatever comes next, my buying period is June-July.

Hope to have a tough choice between Android and WP @ 15k to justify the wait.

EA games will be free for Nokia WPs?

I had read about being exclusive but I think I missed the free part

Even exclusive will be a big differentiating factor but i have seen the free part on some websites, here are some links regarding nokia and EA partnership:

WP8 or the Apollo update wont come before October-November, anyways android and WP7 are two completely different ecosystems and it wont be that hard to choose between these two depending on your usage conditions.

The Lumia 710 has a poor screen compared to the like of the Omnia, but the biggest issue here is the lack of expandable storage on the device.

With just about 4.7GB of user available space on a device which most would use as a multimedia source and also considering the camera's ability to record at 720p this lack of space is really the Achilles heel of the device-so thats a downer for me.

The focus is a much better buy, except for the network connectivity issues.

Only thing I like about Nokia is their Ovimaps best free navigation system. Still not a bad price.

Apparently after Selecting ICICI Card you can still pay using any card.

Wow, Lumia 710 for 14k.

I'm hoping for Omnia W to hit 15k now.

Actually I'm totally fine with 8GB space.

Right now I'm totally torn between:

- Lumia 710

- Omnia W

- 15k Android phone, Sony Neo V
