hi TE,

my friend wants to sync contacts/AddressBook from his Nokia 7210c supernova to Ubuntu 11.04. I did a google

search and stumbled on a link/guide to sync Personal Data to Ubuntu using Sync Evolution. The guy who wrote the guide used the same phone. The sync process is over bluetooth. I tried the process and everything is synced fine except the contacts .

I tried it over the terminal and it says shows

Code:
[INFO] AddressBook : INACTIVE

but all of the rest are synched and active.

So i want to know a solution to sync and store contacts on Ubuntu/Linux either over bluetooth or via Data cable.

Open a terminal and run the command from there, try right clicking the menu entry in menu editor to find out the executable's name to run...

Usually when run in terminal/console, it outputs some additional info that points to the reason why its not starting up, like any missing libraries etc.

just use any software on your phone to back up to .csv files.you can open the .csv files on ubuntu.

Its actually for sync and frequent updating with the pc. The method you mentioned is good for backup
