Firstly i know it's already been discussed before here : http://www.techenclave.com/feedback-corner/shoutbox-91505.html and here:http://www.techenclave.com/feedback-corner/techenclave-chat-or-shoutbox-4138.html, but its not withoput a reason i am asking for all this again.

It'll be really cool. GamingIndians.com already have it, its really successful there, here are some reasons why it'll be good:

  • Advices can be given there. Advice on Shout means lesser unnecessary threads.
  • Threads like How much should "x item" fetch at the Market will be canned.
  • people can discuss matters which are inappropriate in our tech forums
  • people can discuss off-topic discussions there
  • as im not giving a test, i can't think of more ideas, but all in all, it'd be really great.

Better late than never. TRY IT ATLEAST ONCE.
 
I find a shout box like a piece of crap. You lose track to any information available on the website. And again decreasing participation in the real forums. It's fun as a time killer though.

It really is. Another thing i wanna add is that it helps to know others personally. Like, i say i do not really know anyone here. Really i do not. But in the shoutboxes, you pass your time, get to know others. I'm really saying this i really know a lot of the other people in GI.com, its just here that i may say, its only Nitari i knwo here (knowing doesn't include meeting other people). I wouldn't even know anything about him if he were not from the same city as me.
