Graphic Cards Nvidia's 6800GS.

^^ i think its pretty decent pricing .... considering the fact u are getting performance like 6800GT and sometimes better than that ....

^^The real 6800GT is available for around 230$ in the US now. So there's no justification for the 18K price in India.

^^ don't compare with US prices .... 6800GT's are still 20-22k in india .....

and thats XXX edition i don't know the details but looks like special edition with higher clocks ..... i think stock ones will be cheaper ...

Ahem, that way Aces, you can get a 7800GTX for 18k.

This is India, get used to high prices, thats why i always buy my Stuff from abroad :bleh:

^^ nope.. opty's an exception.. :D

n Vish, if u r thinking of getting one, perhaps u shud consider a X800XL.. perf is in the same league of 6800Gs but its available in Mumnao for about 15k INR with local warranty, IIRC..

Thanks. But I don't like ATI's linux drivers, so all ATI cards are ruled out of my list. I'm going to wait a couple of months before buying a new gfx card. I'm not playing any games right now, so I don't need a powerful gfx card just yet.

I'd like to see how the 7600 line performs before jumping into the fray.

U call it decent...I call it :bleh: .....Its grossly overpriced simply because there r no good cards below this one except the 6600GT which is now long in the tooth...and has outlived its usefulness anyways..

trying to tell??....pardon me sparky...I already said (told) it...no malice intended but the GS is overpriced....I think the 7800GS is what folks wanting mid end should look for....:p
The only upside here is ATI doesn't haev anything in the bag here as the X1600 is a lower end part and the huge gap in that and the X1800 series mean that NVIDIA scores heavily here.....U savvy?? :p
