Hello,

I have 5.1 Creative SBS sound system with 5 small PC speakers and one subwoofer/sound controller. This wire connected with home pc.

I noticed that music plays only in 1 speaker & woofer. Other 4 speakers remains silent with low humming sound. I have opened Real Music Player & frequently changed settings in Audio Mixer, Checking surround sound by choosing various speaker types one by one but all efforts failed.

Recently replaced new fuse of power panel which powering PC Monitor, CPU, Sound system(listed above) and Landline Phone. This is just for info. I also recently changed Mother board and processor & installed drivers also.

What's culprit?! Pl advice.

Please ensure that you have selected 5.1 speakers in your settings. For this go to control panel>Hardware and sound>sound. In sound click on device which is highlighted with a green tick. Click configure. In audio channels, it should be 5.1. Click on test. Do you hear sound from all speakers? If not then there is an issue with your speakers or your computer sound card
If the above is able to produce sound from all speakers, then ensure that you are testing a 5.1 DD or DTS clip on real media players. In real media player settings, ensure that speaker setup is configured as 5.1

I thoroughly checked & changed all settings in Real Media Player setting.

Control Pannel > Sound > no green tick highlighted device found though check again.

@Crazy_Eddy,

Power source > Power connector board connected with,
Plug (1) PC Monitor
(2) CPU
(3) AC Adaptor-12V
(4) BSNL WiFi router
(5) LL Phone-Panasonic wireless phone charger

Above plug no-(3) further powering central speaker cum woofer.

3 (Orange, green, black) output from CPU to Volume Control to central speaker cum woofer & then feed to 5 small speaker channel. Hope I address your question.

Dear, I have had spread all my hands and mind... all ok... set 5.1 spkr system and real player high definition sound also..

What happens when you test your 5.1 speakers from sound in control panel?
> only central amplifier cum woofer & one small speaker (among 5 speakers) play music

> For balance 4 speakers, when testing one by one in Real Media player, the sound goes into central amplifier/woofer only for every instance.

> Humming sound in speakers when Creative Sys.volume control nob keeps on and even at 0 level sound

I'm sure you have messed with the wiring of your 5.1 setup.
If all is good between your speaker and woofer then on your motherboards back panel there should be 6 no. of 3.5mm jacks, so refer to your Audio manager in system tray for the correct connections to guide you through the setup. There if you select 5.1 it'll show you which pin shall go into which jack so plug them accordingly.

**Also in your Volume/Sound/Mixer icon on systray, make sure nothing is Muted.

In Control panel, Sound, click on Speakers, Levels. Here make sure Rear Green in/Black/Orange etc. all are not muted. Unmute them if they are muted.

Then,
In Control panel, Sound, Right-click on Speakers, Configure speakers, select 5.1 surround, click on Test and see if you can hear sound from all speakers. IF yes then click Next and continue further.

See this image: Refer to the audio ports at extreme right of the image.

And if you have your mobo Audio ports like this: (which you shouldnt unless you are using a very old mobo)

Then too no need for worry. Just refer to the Audio manager and it'll guide you through the setup.

well, 5.1 ch sound restored itself, without doing much more!:p
But, in front right channel, some trrr........trrr ........trr.......sound coming when testing sound in RealTek Manager.
Also, during switch on of home PC above sound comes for a while (3/4 times) and then PC starts.
Little bit suspicious on power distribution board but not sure..
