Open source browsers

Found this
But installing extensions in this and later updating it is very hard
Also found this, don't know whether its true or not

Are the above two links true? And are there any better alternatives?

Edit-
From the github link
NOTE: These binaries are provided by anyone who are willing to build and submit them. Because these binaries are not necessarily reproducible, authenticity cannot be guaranteed; In other words, there is always a non-zero probability that these binaries may have been tampered with. In the unlikely event that this has happened to you, please report it in a new issue.

What if there is an update and the installer file is ran from here and is installed over the already installed version
https://ungoogled-software.github.io/ungoogled-chromium-binaries/ Does that make sense or these binaries can be included in the new installer files also?

This one, definitely. Do not download or run binaries from unknown or untrusted sources, especially random internet strangers for something as potentially sensitive as a browser.

Any other good open source browser?

Rocking this.
Here is the updater

For me, this has been the trusted source for Chromium versions since last 10 years -
I always use the Portable version which is nothing but ChrLauncher, preconfigured with the correct download source. It prompts whenever an update is available and downloads only if you choose to do so.

I'm sure this is great and everything, but one caveat to mention here is that it is mostly developed by one guy. I know there's more than a few contributors listed on their github etc but if you look at the commits for it, it's >95% just Alex. So the browser is Alex-powered, and it depends on how much you trust this Alex guy. If it even is just one guy and not a group of people. I wanted to use this originally but gave up on it for that reason.

But if you're not doing anything sensitive and are not the paranoid type, you can probably argue that it is not a huge risk.

P.S Just found out there has already been some controversy about Alex hiding furry porn somewhere in the browser. I was not aware of that, LMAO. That's definitely one problem with running some guy's pet project as your web browser.

Quite a rabbit hole this was! Wth!!! Why?!

For anyone wondering, this was the Furry art: https://github.com/Alex313031/thori...p/theme/default_100_percent/chromium/yiff.png

The response to the removal of this furry: https://github.com/Alex313031/thorium/issues/482
