I was wondering if there is any option to leave the forum forever? Really, all companies allow that you could request to leave the forum and all associated data related to that user is deleted, only posts might stay under a deleted user name but many forums give such an option.

Yes I agree with @destiny , that will look quite odd as if the community has banned me while sometimes its a personal choice of the user to stop contributing due to some other reason. Hence, some forums offer what is know as "from a previous user" under some other heading so that posts / replies do stay but the login / username etc are no longer associated with the users posts
