Guide
Hi
i have Gigabyte GA G31M-ES2l mobo.
intel c2d E7500 proccy @2.93 ghz.
2gb 800 mhz DDR2 ram.
but i cannot overclock it beyond that.i have read that it is possible to overclock using this mobo.

here is the bios message or settings i get.

cpu clock ratio [11x]
XFine cpu clock ratio +0.0
Cpu frequency 2,93ghz (266x11)
cpu host clock control [disabled]
Xcpu host frequency (mhz) 266
PCI express frequency (mhz) [auto]
Performance enhance [standard]
System memory multiplier(spd)[auto]

______________________________________

system volt control [manual]
DDR2 overvolt control [normal]
FSB overvoltcontrol [normal]
Cpu pvervolt control [normal]
Normal cpu vcore 1.28750v

i cant do the clock ratio beyond 11x. is there anyway to do it.
the place where X is shown they are disabled.

Please help.

It's is not like you just keep increasing your FSB or multiplier and your mobo will do the rest for you.

In your case , your either not having efficient colling setup or not enough juice to the CPU.

^^
What PSU do you have if you have some cheap in-built PSU replace it before you meddle with your system clock and volt-settings they put additional strain on the PSU and if it not upto scratch then your system will go :dead: + get a decent third party CPU cooler as well, like atleast the Cooler Master Hyper TX 3, hope this helps.
