The tablet seems a very tempting buy @ 4k. I have a Huawei E173 3G modem which the tablet supports. Anyone already have this product.

I'm thinking of buying this for my friend. Is this tablet the best I the range of budget of 4500 rupees?

He needs it for reading books(ePub), browsing , playing videos.

Is there a software available on the android store which will enable him to transfer files from a PC to the tablet wirelessly?

Using Dropbox will consume Internet bandwidth which I don't want to do.

Is there an app which will connect & transfer files from the desktop computer using FTP/SMB/AFP?

I have ordered the tablet for my friend.

Can someone tell me if the stock android 4.0.3 that will come pre-installed contain crapware?

If yes, what should I do to install a clean malware-free android setup?

Also, what are the bet practices to ensure that my friend will have a relatively smooth android experience?

I was looking for a budget tablet in range of 3-4K for my friend.

Anyway, I've ordered the 701c penta BSNL tablet.

Hope it's not too bad.

Wifi Explorer (as mentioned earlier), Wifi File Transfer and AirDroid are just few of the several apps that would do this for you.
 
Can anyone provide a decent external storage solution for this tablet?

Is micro SDHC card the preferred solution? If yes, what brand & the price? There is class 4, class 6 micro SD cards. How do I know which will be compatible with this tablet?

Or should I get USB pendrive?

Also, since my friend has never used android before, what are the essential apps/tweaks for ICS 4.0.3 to ensure a good android experience which will enhance battery life & stay malware free? Is there an app which will detect if the android tablet came installed with some virus/crapware?
