Hi guys I have two queries here related to passport.
1. My mom wants to apply for normal fresh passport, she has all documents except birth proof, for non-ECR she has 10th passing certificate, does it work? Also for the birth proof she doesn't have the required documents i.e birth certificate, leaving certificate. According to the passport site an affidavit can be submitted, but it says that is only for illiterate people. Actually she has done B.A. Please let me know if she can do it or not.

2. I applied for passport on 14/2/2013, did my police verification on 1/5/2013, its been 10 days, still it shows pending police verification, what should I do?
 
1. For birth certificate... SSLC mark sheet should be fine!
2. Wait for one more week, if it does not improve, go to commissioner office and verify, whether they sent back the report. If they sent back, they will have reference number and with that contact your local RPO.
 
The best thing is to check with passport helpline or better head to commissioner office, give your application number and tell them to speed things up
 
SSC Marksheet is fine at passport office but you would be asked for proper birth certification at police station so attach a affidivat

My colleague just got the passport status changed to sent to priniting after 1.5 month of verification it usually takes 1 month mine is already 3 weeks due.
 
goto the police station directly and have them check the passport application number wrt to the date of passport filing and tell them its been 10 days :);)

sometimes these police are just lazy to call people and take their own sweet time to process things.
 
Hi guys, my mom now has all the documents, the thing is that in 10th passing and leaving certificate her surname is that before marriage, will that cause any problems?
Also for address proof my sister only has adhaar card which is made in dec 2012, she only has bank statement of 7 months.
 
Attach Marriage Certificate , for address proof you need Electricity/Telephone Aadhar card qualifies for ID Proof
